A was playing with the "washing cup" during bath time. She had loaded it up with water and randomly dumped it over the edge. For a minute I just stared....shocked she had done it. I looked up to scold her and this is what I saw.....
Needless to say, there can't be too much scolding if you are laughing.

All Clean?
A had picked up a pair of her sweat pants and was rubbing them on me like a wash cloth:
Me: Are you cleaning mommy?
A: Yesh (yes)
Me (a little while later): Ok, I think Mommy's clean now.
A stops "cleaning".
Me: Does Mommy smell good?
A: Nope.

More Please
A is a food moocher. She especially likes to mooch our breakfast.
This morning while she was munching on the toast I had shared with her I finished the rest of my breakfast. When she asked for more I told her it was all gone and showed her the plate.
She took my plate and ran to the kitchen. She put it on the shelf next to the toaster and waited for me to make more toast.

Just Being Friendly
A loves to walk through the store pushing the cart. Wal-mart loves to put toys on kid eye level to entice them.
Today while walking through the story A spotted a baby doll (shes in to dolls right now). It had a round hole in the packaging so that you could stick your hand in and put its pacifier.
I did this so A could see that it moved. After watching to for a minute she leaned up to the hole and yelled "HI!!!"

Did I really agree to this?
This was the converstation that took place after we discovered A was in need of a diaper change.....
D: "Addilece, come here."
A: No response
M: "Addilece listen to Daddy's words."
A: No response
D: "Do you want a time out?"
A: "YES!"
Well, she got her wish.

Problem Solving
A has a set of blocks that have a sorter at the top. Daddy decided to work on her sorting abilities.
She had been having trouble w/ the square all night and she kept asking us to put it in for her. However, we have been trying to work on her problem solving skills (because they stink) so we wouldn't.
During one of these times she got frustrated with us, so she picked up the lid and dropped the block in the bucket. I guess her problem solving skills have dramatically improved.............
.........while Daddy had his head buried in the ground laughing A walked up and pulled on his head. Then she looked him straight in the eye and said "I did it." Yes, she definetly did.

Hide N Seek
Yesterday, I couldn't find my car keys. This is not uncommon for me, but I remembered putting them right by the door. I searched EVERYWHERE that I could think of. Daddy even searched the car top to bottom over his lunch break. Hours later A was playing and I heard a jingle. My keys....how in the world did she find them?????
Well, that answer was easy when I realized that she was the one that hid them.....in a VHS (yes, we still own those) case. Needless to say, my keys are now hanging by the door.

Going On A Trip
A's new thing is to take this bag and carry it around. Its one of those free-be bags you get from the hospital (you know, filled w/ formula and a million pamphlets).
Hair products of course....such a girl.

Shower Talk
Yes, that would be me having a converstation w/ my daughter in the shower. No, I did not know my husband was filming this (although I wondered b/c he was SO quiet). Yes, he definetely did say "potty". And yes, A is constantly talking like this.....just think some day those will be real words (excited?...no!)

All Buttered Up
Yesterday I noticed some weird sounds coming from the Dinning Room and I walked in to find this....
The kicker was that when I walked in and said "ADDILECE" in my most shocked and appalled vioced she burst out in the cutest, fullest laugh ever. I couldn't help but laugh right along.

Mommy's Girl?
Most mornings Daddy gets up w/ A and Mommy sleeps a little longer. This morning was no different. When I got out of bed A was in her seat snacking on some Cherrios and Daddy was making her some toast. I took my seat at the table waiting for A to finish.
Typically once I get up Little Miss is all about Mommy. So I was a bit shocked when she went to Daddy for some loving. After a quick hug she hopped down and headed to me. I held out my hands to pick her up. She looked at them for a minute....then she placed her sippy cup in one and walked away.

Mama Bear
The other day A was at the park in our apartment complex. There is a wooden walking bridge that goes to the park. Two little boys (probably 2 and 4) were running up and down the bridge. A of course thought this would be fun and went to join them.
A got in on of the little boy's way and he pushed her. She fell back, off the side of the bridge, and started to roll down the hill. I was on the opposite, far side of the bridge, so I go running to get her.
By the time I had reached my crying bugger she was already trying to climb back on the bridge. However, in the process this little boy (who had no adult supervision) was about to kick A. Mama Bear came out in me. I looked the little boy in the face as I snatched A up and said rather sternly, "you do not kick her."
Boy did those little eyes get as BIG as ever. It was a good thing he got Mama Bear and not Papa Bear....I think Papa Bear would of matched him to his house and told his unsupervising parents to start supervising him.

Knock-Knock
While I am at my weekly Bible study A spends time in the toddler room w/ the other kiddos. Also in the toddler room is a play house that is in a circle w/ a door and no top.
One day several of the kiddos had gotten into the house and a few more wanted in. A was one of the outside and decided to take things in to her own hands by going up and knocking on the door.
The kids in the house still decided it was not a good idea. A took a breath and then started to climb over the top on the wall of the house to get in. The babysitters promptly stopped her.
PS....Feel free to "vote" on the bottom for what you think of Little Miss' story. I will use the votes to label the story......someday.

Will You Be My Friend?
It is interesting to see who A picks up on as a good person to make her buddy and who she shys away from. Sometimes she will completely shy away from people, but because she is social she will interact pretty happily with most people as long as mom or dad are close by. However, some people she just tags as special.
One person she LOVES is our janitor. He is the sweetest and goes out of his way to talk to her. However, last night she proved that she had dubbed him her personal buddy. A was standing by Daddy while he was talking to someone about half way down our rather large church hall. All of the sudden A spots our janitor down at the other end of the hall and goes trotting off. She then followed him into the classroom he was cleaning up and became his personal tag along.
Earlier in the week we had stopped by Daddy's old bosses house. After a two minute warm up A was all about him and his wife. He would go from one to the other asking them to pick her up. She'd spend a few minutes w/ that one climb down and strut herself up to the other. Back and forth it went, completely ignoring either of her parents.

Tights
As soon as we get into the car Astarts going to town on her shoes and socks. She just can't stand to have them on in the car.
On Sunday we were headed home from church and she immediately began to work on getting them off. She was quickly able to get her shoes off but today there was a problem, today she had on tights.
She yanked at them for a while and let out a few whines and yanked some more. She then looked up at me and said "done" indicating she was "all done" with her tights. I told her "no sweetheart, they don't come off." She pulled a few seconds longer and exasperatedly declared, "STUCK".
Yes, indeed, her tights where very much "stuck".

Night-Night Time
A and I had been playing w/ dolls. I had put one down for "night-night" in a basket.
A little bit later it was time for A to take a nap. I asked her if she was ready to go night-night.
She walked over to the doll, took it out of the basket, handed it to me, and climbed in the basket herself. I took that as a YES.
